Mr. Louis Albert White
“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give
me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing”
II Timothy 4:6-8
Today, we come to honor a father, son, brother and friend. On September 14, 1947, Louis Albert White was born in Natchez, Mississippi. Louis was the first child born to Mr. Louis (Baby) White, Jr. and his wife, Susie Marie Beloxie White. To his family and friends, Louis leaves fond memories of a man who was humble, dedicated and always had a smile on his face. To his siblings, Louis leaves
memories of a brother who was beloved for his willingness to always step up and be the person that would provide thoughtful advice. It was early in Louis’ life that he confessed his belief in
Christ, joined and was and baptized at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, in Cannonsburg,
MS. There are many milestones the family wants Louis to be remembered for; as the friend and supporter for those who knew him as a graduate of Liddell Sr. High School in Fayette MS; as a
military brother joining the United States Army and serving his country with a tour in Vietnam. He will be remembered as a student attending Jackson State University (JSU) in Jackson, MS,
working to attain a bachelor’s degree in woodwork. Louis will be remembered as a certified
carpenter and for his rewarding career at General Electric (GE) and Vickers in Jackson, MS. When
Louis changed careers, even more memories were made in the transportation industry as a business owner with A&L Express and contractor with MDX Trucking Company, LLC, as well
as other companies. Louis will be remembered with respect and love by his children. As much as
Louis loved his children, he loved his grandchildren even more. They would affectionately call him
‘Poppy’. Louis will be remembered for being a dapper, well-traveled, fan of vehicles and sports
(especially JSU football). As the sun set on his life on October 29, 2022, he will be remembered most of all for being the supportive and faithful father, son, brother and friend. Louis was
preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Susie White, three brothers, Baby White, Bobby
White, Rev. John White, one sister, Pearl White Pigott (brother-in-law Benjamin). Louis leaves to cherish his memories, four children, Dr. Adriane White-Carter (Dr. David Carter), Lauren White,
Adrian Dowe, and Nyah White. Four grandchildren, Mya Carter, Alexandria Carter, Brooklyn Carter (David and Adriane), Kari White-Bullock (Nyah). Five brothers and five sisters, Dr. Earl White, (Dorothy), Julius, Robert, Delores Jenkins (Charles), Beatrice Culley, Castella White, Monroe (Mary), Alma Jackson (Van), Raymond (Catina), and Vera Jenkins. He also leaves one godsister, Martha Robb, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to WAR: The Peace Project (www.warthepeaceproject.org).
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 5 to 7 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and
Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Funeral Services will be Monday, November 7, 2022 at 10 o’clock at Patterson’s Arlington Chapel. Committal services will follow at 1 o’clock at Georgia National Cemetery.
Daddy,
Our hearts are heavy today. You were our provider, our hero, our sounding board, and our advisor.
You showed us that we could get what we wanted with hard work and a little charisma. Your values were evident in the way that you walked, talked and worked. We wouldn’t dare make a
major life decision without your approval first. You may not have known it at the time, but your words were like gold to us. Your transition has been the hardest thing that we have ever dealt with, but we have some peace in knowing that you are in a place of perfect peace. So get your rest, Daddy. We will pick up where you left off.
We love you forever,
Adriane, Lauren, Adrian and Nyah
Message from the Hearts of your Siblings
What an honor and privilege it was to have you as our oldest brother, our friend, our advisor, our voice of reason, our go-to guru. We made some great memories and had some exceptionally
great times – holiday dinners, family reunions, birthday celebrations, graduations, weddings, baby showers, a cruise, so many wonderful memories. You would greet the sisters with a kiss on the
cheek and a man-hug for the guys. Our hearts are heavy right now – ten hearts weighted down. We are feeling a ton of emotions – sadness, grief, gloom, and all those feelings we would rather not be experiencing. We have been here before, but this time feels different. Although we have
always loved you, that love became even more abundant for each of us after our parents entered
the Heavenly Gates. Each of us had our own special relationship with you. When we talked to you,
you always started the conversation with, “How you doing?” and would personalize it with our name. We knew you were genuinely concerned and that you really cared. We were all happy
when “unlimited talk and text” became a thing. We took full advantage of that feature, and oh did we talk and text. We always knew when you were taking trips, you always shared pictures of your
arrival or pictures of some of your activities for that day. We will mention your name at the family gatherings, we may even cry some tears of love, but laughter will come when we start to
reminisce about the good times we shared. We will talk about how you enjoyed trading stocks and modernizing your home, your love for healthy eating, vegetables you grew in your garden
and oh yes, we won’t forget the many conversations we had about current events. OH! and let’s not forget, if you had it your way, every family member would drive a Mercedes Benz. We will
miss not being able to consult with you about what car to purchase, mechanical issues, what tires to buy, home improvement projects, small kitchen appliances and even conversations about going to the hair salon. These little things made you super special and YOU will forever have a special place in each of our hearts.
Well Louis, we will end this message like we ended most of our conversations 99 percent of the time…
Love You,
Earl (Dot), Julius, Robert, Delores (Charles), Beatrice, Castella, Monroe (Mary), Alma (Van), Raymond (Catina) & Vera
