LuAnn Q. Farkas, 89, of Atlanta and formerly of Zionsville, IN, died December 24, 2016. She was born in Mitchell, IN and was the daughter of the late William and Zoe Quigley. Mrs. Farkas graduated from Franklin College and began teaching English and Latin. During her teaching career, she taught in Mitchell, IN and Riverdell, NJ where she became an assistant librarian. After her teaching career LuAnn started work in the medical field and was a patient liaison at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Mrs. Farkas was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Charles E. Farkas, Jr. and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William C. and Patricia Farkas; grandchildren, Jason Farkas, Coleen Richardson, Terri Reade; and 6 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be Sunday, January 22, 2016 at 3 o’clock with the family receiving friends beginning at 2 o’clock at Chamblee First United Methodist Church.
