When Dennis and I visited Marvin in the hospital, he asked if I had a comb. I told him I’d see what I could find. 
I went down to the gift shop, looked everywhere, but no damned combs. When I asked behind the desk, the saleslady said she’d see what she could find. She disappeared for awhile and finally reappeared with a small box. 
For my $1 purchase, I was blessed with the biggest Marvin smile as he combed his still beautiful and always perfect hair.

When I think of my Uncle Marvin, I think of his complete and unconditional love for his family; I hope my nieces will think of me the same way. Although we didn’t speak frequently enough over the past few years, whenever we did, he made me feel as if no time had passed. I will miss him and his “Uncle Marvin jokes.”

Tina and family.  Hank and I send our condolences.  Marvin was a very kind and good hearted person.  I will never forget growing up and the kindness he always showed towards me.

He was kind,loving,compassionate. Marvin was like the teddy bear you had as a kid.  You loved that bear because it was cozy warm and comforting.  It gave you a sense of security it loved you unconditionally!
Marvin had the heart and sole of my beloved Aunt Betty, his mom. He was the cousin who always called to check up on how everyone in the family was doing.  Family was everything to him. My cousin had the greatest smile best hugs. My heart aches but my memories will forever be a blessing ❤️

My beautiful Uncle.  In childhood, I thought my he was the coolest.  We’d hold out for haircuts until our visits, and he’d cut our hair in his kitchen.  We’d stay in the basement (a novelty for Floridians), and walk out to weed the garden together and collect tomatoes.  And then he’d give me and Josh bags to raid the ice cream truck for snacks.  All that, plus he gave the best hugs.  No one told you you were loved as frequently and as sincerely as Uncle Marvin.  

As an adult, I KNEW he was the coolest.  So grateful for our five years living in Atlanta.  To attend family dinners and holidays.  To get to witness his relationship with Evan.  How lucky am I to have had him give my girls their first haircuts in the same kitchen?  And of course, to have received the same hugs, and loving words.  He’d call my dad, “my grandchildren are here.”  

It always stuck with me that he was one of three brothers, and while I never met my uncle Jerry, he’s a legend in stories.  Three brothers, all who would swear the others are “the best of us.”  What a wonderful family to be a part of.  

My uncle, with the biggest heart and the best hair.  May his memory be a blessing.

My favorite childhood memories are of my parents driving us to Long Island to spend the day with my cousins Lisa and Robin, and my Aunt Tina and Uncle Marvin. 
My father, Jerry, was Uncle Marvin’s older brother. The love between all three brothers was never ending. 
Lisa, Fayth, Robin and I would put on “shows” for the grown ups. Only our Grandma actually enjoyed these performances,  but we didn’t care. Those were innocent times, before life got hard. My Uncle was the most handsome, wonderful Uncle. My memories of him will last forever within me. Love and hugs to my Aunt and my cousins. ❤️ May his memory be a blessing to all who loved him.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Betty (Rabinowitz) Ginsburg and Sol Buchman; his older brother, Jerry Ginsburg; and his beloved grandson, Blake Scott. He is survived by his younger brother, Dennis Ginsburg and sister-in-law, Alyson.
