Mary Bess Higgins

Mary Bess Jackson Tribble Higgins, age 94, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2017. She was born April 14, 1923, in Cedartown, Georgia, to Bessie and B. M. Jackson. She graduated from Cedartown High School and West Georgia College, and then moved to Atlanta where she lived the rest of her life. She was predeceased by her first husband, William Eugene Tribble, and her second husband, Raymond Leonard Higgins, and her only brother Jacky Jackson of Cedartown. She was also predeceased by stepdaughter Connie Higgins Lees (Bill) of Birmingham, AL, and stepson Tim Higgins of Slidell, LA. She is survived by her children, Diane Tribble Reese (Herb), Birmingham, AL; Jack Tribble (Nanky), Atlanta; grandchildren Bess Reese of Nashville, TN; Tribble Reese of Atlanta; Nancy Tribble Ralston (Harris) of Charlotte, NC; William Tribble and Virginia Tribble of Atlanta. Also stepchildren Mark Higgins (Patsy) of Greensboro, GA; and Chris Higgins of California; and several step-grandchildren, including Jeff Lees (Meredith) of Birmingham, AL, and Cynthia Lees Johnson (Brad) of Tuscaloosa, AL. She was a member of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. A family graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 2, at 2:00 p.m, at Arlington Memorial Park.
