sister to Bill & Blanche Wright. He was President of his class, an honor graduate and athlete at Chamblee High School. He and his family maintained over 300 beehives in North Georgia which helped to pay for his college education at Georgia Tech. After which, he volunteered in the Air Force National Guard. Max met and married his wife of 64 years, Mary Kay Cofield. Herman Lay hired him which began his 35 year career at Frito-Lay that culminated with 7 years as Area V.P. of Manufacturing. During his retirement he was able to travel, golf, and spend quality time with his family. He served as an Elder at Alpharetta Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay Wright; his daughter & son-in-law, Connie & Mike Kirkpatrick; granddaughters- Shannon Johnson, Heather Johnson & Mary Acosta; sister-in-laws- Nell Summerour & Jeanne Gilliland; niece, Laura Allen; and nephews- Mark Wright, Wayne Wright and Ken Summerour.
