Melba Connell George, 91, of Atlanta passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2010. Born May 2, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Rivers Connell, Sr. and Ruby Duval Connell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry P. George; her son, Miles A. McBrayer III; her twin sister, Louise Connell Floyd Campbell; and her brother, Frederick Rivers Connell, Jr. Survivors include granddaughter, Julie Cochran and her husband Philip of Hiram; granddaughter Robin Jones and her husband Blake of Marietta; great-grandchildren, Liam and Annabelle Cochran of Hiram; and great-grandson Alex Jones of Marietta. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Patterson’s Arlington Chapel with Dr. David Sapp officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
