

Morgan Delaney, 21, of Atlanta, GA passed away September 19, 2023 after a courageous and private battle with cancer. Morgan was a 2020 graduate of Holy Spirit Preparatory School, and was a senior at the University of Georgia double majoring in Political Science and Business.
While in high school at Holy Spirit, Morgan played for the Varsity soccer team starting in 8th grade and was named a GISA All-State player in 2018 and 2019, as well as being named Northside Neighbor’s Student Athlete of the Week in May of 2019. She also played her entire club soccer career with NASA Tophat in Buckhead starting when she was 9 years old. Her club team were Regional Champions in her sophomore year. She was a Girl Scout all through school and earned her Gold Award her senior year. She had an artistic soul and loved to draw and paint and was a member of the National Art Honor Society.
Morgan loved being at the University of Georgia. She made wonderful friends through her sorority, Delta Gamma, and worked to support UGA Doctors without Borders, UGA Miracle, and Rescue Paws.
Morgan touched many lives with her loving and cheerful personality. We will never forget her awesome sense of humor, her quick wit, her smile and her laugh. She was truly a unique and wonderful person, and the beauty that she brought to our lives will be missed forever.
Morgan is survived by her mother and father Kristen and Michael Delaney of Atlanta, GA; brothers Dylan and Liam; maternal grandparents George and Amy Mauter, and paternal grandparents James and Barbara Delaney.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Sandy Springs, followed by a Celebration of Life in the church’s McDonough Fellowship Hall.
