

Nancy Pattillo Riley, 73, of Marietta, GA passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 17, 2015 after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Lovick Thomas Pattillo and Mary Winn Pattillo of Atlanta, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, along with her sister Mary Pattillo Zacharias of Athens, Greece. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, William (Bill) Riley, Jr.; children Bob (Lisa) Riley of Jasper, GA, Sally Riley of Acworth, GA, and David (Angie) Riley of Kennesaw, GA; grandchildren Brooke Riley of Kansas City, MO, Emilee and Brett Riley of Jasper, GA, and Alex and Marina Riley of Kennesaw, GA; brother Edward Pattillo of Marietta, GA; wonderful father-in-law William (Bill) Riley, Sr. of Atlanta, GA; brother-in-law Michael Zacharias of Athens, Greece; brother-in-law John (Shelia) Riley of Fernandina Beach, FL; and several nieces. Nancy loved being a homemaker, wife and mother. Bill and her children were the joy of her life. She grew up in Sandy Springs, GA and attended Sandy Springs High School. She and Bill met when they were 14 and 17, and were married three years later. Her husband, Bill, was a dedicated and faithful caregiver during her long, extended illness. The family will receive visitors from 5 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, Sandy Springs GA, 30328. A private burial will be held for the immediate family at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs. A memorial service will be held at Northside United Methodist Church at 2799 Northside Dr., Atlanta, GA 30305 at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015, with a reception following at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Emory Winship Cancer Center in memory of Nancy.
