Riley was a devoted man of faith and a longtime member of Tucker First United Methodist Church for 53 years. He was an active member of the Christian Friendship Class and found great joy in his church community. He loved his church and the Lord and lived his life as a strong Christian man. He never met a stranger and was known for his warm, welcoming spirit.
Riley was one of those people you always enjoyed being around, sweet, funny, and kind. He played football and basketball for the Rams of College Park High School and was part of the team that won the State Championship in basketball in 1959. He even took the stage as "Charlie Mudd" in his senior play, Who Done It, where he was remembered as a standout performer. In high school, Riley worked at Duncan Shoe Repair. He later proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Riley built a successful career through hard work, discipline, and consistency as a founder of McKee-Nix & Associates, Inc. Through dedication and perseverance, he achieved financial success while remaining humble, choosing to live simply and never seeking recognition for his accomplishments.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who deeply loved his family. Riley took great pride in his country and carried strong values that he passed down to those around him. He always encouraged his children and grandchildren to pursue success, work hard, and build meaningful lives of their own.
He will be remembered for his generosity, quiet strength, and unwavering support for the people he loved most.
