Sarah Elizabeth Balachowski

Our beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, Sarah Elizabeth Balachowski left this world unexpectedly at 35 on March 8, 2020. Sarah was born in Voorschoten, The Netherlands to Tom and Chris Balachowski on April 5, 1984.

Sarah lived her younger years in Columbia, Maryland before moving to Marietta, Georgia in 1993. Sarah attended Mt. Bethel Elementary School, Dickerson Middle School, and Walton High School. She attended Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Sarah was creative, loved fashion, music and animals, especially the family dogs, Holly, Avery and Lainey. She was called by the nickname Bunny by her friends after a loved plush animal bunny that she kept with her since infancy.

Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed.

When you think of Sarah, celebrate the good memories and know she loved her family and friends. Remember life is short and fragile and should be lived to the fullest.

Sarah was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lucille and Gene Balachowski and Bill Horning. She leaves behind her parents, brother Brian, Brian’s wife Michelle and their children Tyler and Anslee; her grandmother Mary Horning; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A private family celebration of life for Sarah will be held at a later time in Kansas City, Missouri.
