Susan S. Doherty

Susan Doherty passed away peacefully on August 22, 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia. Susan was born on February 14, 1939 in Newnan, Georgia. Susan was a proud Georgia native and after attending Auburn University, she returned to Atlanta where she raised her family. Susan led an active life focused on her family, career, and love of fashion and modeling. Susan was a faithful Christian and a member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed being a member of the wedding guild. She enjoyed a long career at Emory University, and worked at the Emory Goizueta Business School, Emory School of Law, and the Emory School of Medicine. Susan loved playing tennis and was an active member of ALTA for many years. Susan loved spending time with her friends and family. Susan is survived by her daughter, Blair, her son-in-law, Tripp Rackley, and her three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Emory University Goizueta Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.
