Tim, 75, was born in Cincinnati, OH four days after Pearl Harbor on the 11th of December, 1941 as the first of nine children. He attended St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati and within those walls he found both a brotherhood and a solid educational base. At Xavier University, his love of math and languages set him on a trajectory that led him to actuarial science.
As an actuary, Tim became an integral part of the Meidinger Inc. team. When William M. Mercer merged with Meidinger, he was found to be a man with no equal and he rose to the challenges becoming Chairman and CEO of William M. Mercer Incorporated.
Tim cut a dashing figure when he married his bride, Rita Carlin, on the 5th of September, 1964. With the addition of his wife Rita his family multiplied, growing to include three children, six grandchildren and one great grandson with a great granddaughter on the way.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; his son, Timothy Lynch Jr.; his daughters Shannon (David) Kruer and Kelly (Thad) Owings; his grandchildren Cailtyn (Ryan Rottman) Kruer, Sean (Hope) Kruer, Thad Owings IV, Nicholas Owings and Hannah Owings; his great grandson, Charles Kruer; his sisters Mary Williams, Katie Seta and Ann Kirkland and his brothers John A. Lynch Jr., Lee Lynch and Dennis Lynch. He is preceded in death by his parents John A. Lynch and Margaret Young Lynch; his brothers Pat Lynch and Michael Lynch and his granddaughter, Katherine Owings.
The sum of his life is beyond measure.
A Funeral Mass will be held to celebrate his life on Monday, the 23rd of January at 10:30 AM at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody, GA. Interment will be private at Arlington Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to Canine Assistants at www.canineassistants.org or Cure SMA at www.curesma.org.
