

Albert Hanna, 92, of Heathrow, Florida passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Oakmonte Village in Lake Mary, Florida. Albert was born on July 7, 1924 in Atlantic City, New Jersey the son of Victor and Regina Hanna. Albert graduated from Rutgers University in 1950 and worked at Rutgers for 35 years as an Associate Controller. While living in East Brunswick, New Jersey for 38 years he was a charter member of the East Brunswick Jewish Center, member of B'nai B'rith and the Knights of Pythian. He had a rewarding career doing what he liked best and in 1992 retired from Rutgers. In 2001 he and his wife, Grace Hanna moved to Heathrow, Florida. Albert is survived by the love of his life for 64 years, Grace, as well as his son Robert Hanna and his wife Jill, daughter Debra Hanna-Huss and her husband Michael, and three grandchildren, Lauren Hanna, Madison Huss and Michael Huss. He is also survived by his brother Morris Hanna and sister Susan Hanna-Goldblum, niece Donna Goldblum-Haas along with her husband David and daughter Raina Haas. Albert was a kind man, who loved his family, and will always remain in our hearts. A service in his honor was held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park Florida. His family wishes donations be made in his memory to VITAS Community Connection (www.vitascommunityconnection.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
