Ames Thomas Ressa, 92, of Longwood, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025. He was born on December 13, 1933, in Port Washington, New York, to Thomas and Ann Ressa. Ames was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Thomas Ressa. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carol; his children Richard Ressa and his wife Karenn, Tia Fenoff and her husband Chris, and Tami Long and her husband George; and his cherished grandchildren Danielle, David, Jacob, Olivia, Katherine, Anne, Mary, and Margaret. For many years, Ames was actively involved at Central Church, where he served as a leader in the adult special education program, touching countless lives with his dedication and compassion. He enjoyed playing golf and treasured the time he spent with family and friends. The family would like to thank Vitality and VITAS Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our dad in his final days. There will not be a traditional funeral service.
