Carolyn "Jeanie" Jean Mikels

Carolyn Jean Mikels, better known as Jeanie, Babe, Mom, Aunt Jeanie, Nana, and Nurse Jeanie was welcomed by her Heavenly Father while in the arms of her Husband, Son, and Daughter on March 30, 2025. Jeanie was born in Grafton, West Virginia and moved to Sanford, Florida in 1978 where she and her Husband raised their 2 children. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and Husband of 54 years, Charles Mikels, her Son, Chuck Mikels (Kimberly), her Daughter, Cathy Joe Chism (Bret), and Daughter of her heart, Terri Mikels. Jeanie has 5 living grandchildren; Joseph, Hannah, Morgan, Pheobe, and Charlotte, and one granddaughter, Katy who was waiting in heaven for her along with her parents and older brother.

Jeanie also has loving family in West Virginia that physical distance could never separate.

Jeanie was a registered nurse and specialized in pediatric oncology. She helped save the lives of countless children and made an impact on every person who met her.

She had a sassy humor, huge heart and a small filter. You always knew where you stood with her.

She loved her family, animals, sewing, chocolate, cooking, laughing, exploring antique stores and hugs.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Baldwin Fairchild on Saturday, May 10, 2025.

Friends and family gathering begins at 11 am, the service will begin at 12 with reception following at the same location.
