

Connie was born on August 7, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from San Pierre, High School (Indiana) in 1964, she went on to complete an Intercultural Ministries degree from New Tribes Bible Institute and New Tribes Mission. During this time she met Harold Davis and they were married on December 28, 1966. They began their overseas ministry in Brazil in 1968. Their three children, Brent, Kevin, and Kelly were born during their years there.
After thirty-one years of serving in Brazil as indigenous church planters, missionary boarding school staff, and field administrators, Harold and Connie returned to the United States in 1998. Until their recent retirement, they served in various roles at the New Tribes Mission Home Office in Sanford, Florida. They were also active with Summit Lake Mary Church and Connie co-founded and taught the Lake Forest women’s Bible study for many years.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Frederick Germann. She is survived by her mother, Irma Germann; her siblings, Danny (Marilyn) Germann and Patti (Greg) Lee; her husband Harold; her children, Brent (JoAnn), Kevin (Andrea) and Kelly; eight grandchildren; and, one great-grandchild.
Connie’s life was exemplified by a love for the Lord and His Word. She was characterized by kindness, grace, patience, faithfulnes, and the heart of a servant. Her empathy and compassion made her an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Connie was also affectionately known as “Aunt Connie” to many students over the years and holds a special place in the hearts of so many former missionary kids. Her sweet smile, even in the most difficult of times, gave testimony to the Lord she loved and served for so many years.
Services will be held at The Homes of Ethnos 360, Sanford, Florida on September 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Brazilian Retirement Center.
