Delane Walter

Delane was born on November 7, 1968 in Ferriday, LA to Ervin and Dorothy Littleton. She was raised in Jonesville, Louisiana and graduated from Block High School.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, David; her sister, Lynn Thompson of Jonesville, LA; her son, Ebb Harrison of Deltona, FL; her step-children, Katie Bowman (Adam) of Wylie, TX; Lauren Walter of Cincinnati, OH; David “Eric” Walter of Charleston, SC; grandchildren Summer, Greyson, Violet and Shepherd; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Elvin and Dorothy Littleton, step-father, Floyd Thornhill, sister Susie Weeks, and brother Ray Littleton.

Delane met her husband, David, in 2001 at a party hosted by mutual friends and they were married on July 23, 2004 in Princeville, HI. They worked together for many years at Excel Supply, Inc. and Victory Supply Co., Inc. providing industrial supplies to many local companies, cities, counties, and the Kennedy Space Center.

Delane had a passion for travel, boating, and especially cooking. Everyone loved her Louisiana gumbo, dirty rice, banana pudding, and other creations. She made sure that all of her dinner guests left for home with a container full of leftovers.

She had a lovely Southern accent, a beautiful smile, a sweet nature, and a generous heart. Many said that she was one of the nicest persons they had ever met.

A funeral mass will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs, FL on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 10:00 am. A celebration of life open to all of Delane’s family and friends will be held after Mass from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm at Terra Mia Ristorante located at 1150 Douglas Avenue, Altamonte Springs, FL.
