

Born on May 9, 1932, in Bluff City, Tennessee, Dorothy carried her small-town roots with her throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Klingensmith, who passed away on January 4, 1994.
Dorothy is survived by her loving children, daughter Kathy Klingensmith and son Eric Klingensmith, as well as a large extended family around her hometown in Tennessee, whom she remained close to over the years.
Together, Dorothy and her husband owned and operated a local pharmacy in Sanford, Florida, where they were known for their care and involvement in the community. After the pharmacy closed, Dorothy continued working at Target, where she formed many friendships before retiring in 2012.
Even in retirement, Dorothy remained active and creative. She found joy in making crafts and crocheting items for family and friends, sharing her time and talents with those she loved most. Her handmade gifts will be cherished reminders of her kindness and generosity.
Dorothy will be remembered for her warmth, her sweetness, her strong work ethic, and her devotion to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
