I never thought for a minute I would be writing something as painful as this. When my mom called me late that night, my heart broke into a million pieces...my beloved grandpa was gone! I wish I could say that I have many memories of him as a child, but I can't. However, I do have many fond memories of spending time with him as I got older. As a child, even though our visits were far and few, they were the best.. I can still remember the times mom took me with her to go see him. Those were my favorite days because I got to see my granddad for a little while. For anyone and everyone that knew him, knew he always had a crazy story to share and told the silliest of jokes. He always made me laugh and I'm going to miss those jokes and stories dearly.
Grandpa, you will always be special to me and I will forever love and miss you lots. Thank you for caring and loving me!
Your #1 granddaughter, Neo

My father my daddy was a wise, loving , and caring man. To me he was a great listener and I always felt comfortable around him through out the years. We agreed to disagree many times but no matter what he was my daddy and I loved him. He was always there for me no matter what. One of my greatest memories as a child was when dad used to pick us up to take us to Bear Mountain or to the beach. I was extra excited because I was going to be spending time with my daddy for the day... it didn't matter what he did with us as long as we were together. Daddy I will miss you always and forever... it brings me comfort knowing that you are with the Lord and you can SEE now.
I LOVEYOU, Your Loving Daughter Ida

Oh, man. The list of memories with Eddie could stretch for miles. He was there to teach me how to ride a bike. He was taking me to swimming lessons, and when I learned how to swim I can remember the countless times he brought me and Suzette to his community pool. He spoiled us. Bought us swimming gear to have extra fun in the pool. He bought us Brats dolls and other toys. He would prepare food for us, very simple things like peaches or apples, as if they were gourmet. He’d cut them, skin them and sprinkle them with sugar and it honestly made me forget that I couldn’t have normal desserts back then. And his way of cutting mangos will always be my way of cutting mangos, because he taught me and had the best technique. He tried to teach me Spanish, and gave me an awesome starting point to become fluent one day. Which I will pursue, so that I might be able to greet him again one day and surprise him with it. He was successful in teaching me to stick up for myself, and that I deserve self-respect. He taught me that it was okay to assert that, and protect it with every bit of my strength. He helped me realize the potential of my intelligence and he helped me to feel special in that regard growing up, giving me a confidence I’m not sure I would otherwise have. He taught me so much and brought so much light to my life. He tried to be there for us as much as absolutely humanly possible. His memories will continue to bring light into my life, and I’ll always remember his smile, his laugh, his courage and his dedication to making sure Suzette and I would have as much opportunity as possible. Thank you for your wisdom, and thank you for your time here. You will be deeply, deeply missed. I love you, Eddie. Te amo, mucho.

Buzz and I have had many wonderful times with Carol and Eddie. Traveling, church, small groups, dominoes and having them there for the most difficult time in our lives. They have been such faithful loving friends.
We will miss Eddie so much, but we know through Jesus we will see him again one day.
Our love to Carol and his sweet family.

This is the hardest thing I have to write. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing my grandfather my whole life. He is and was an incredible man. My fondest memories are growing up in his house when I used to live in the house in Queens with my parents also. I remember he used to sing to me, give me butterfly kisses with his eyes lashes across my cheeks. I miss his jokes especially the way he would laugh and crack himself up with his jokes. He was stern but gentle and loving. He was one of kind. I remember the last time I saw him was before the pandemic. I was vacationing in Orlando with my family and he wanted to have dinner with my dad and family so my parents, my brother, myself, grandpa and and Grandma Carol, Linda and Brooklyn all got together at a restaurant to all have dinner that night. I wish I had pictures from that night. But it’s embedded in my memory. I wish I would have seen you again but your memory will live on in my heart until we meet again grandpa Levy

I did not get to know my grandfather until I was almost a teenager, But was so excited to meet him when I did. after moving to Florida in 2012 I got to spend a bit more time with him on and off throughout the years, my family was included in Christmas when we first moved here, grandpa and grandma showed me how proud they were of me for graduating with my Associate's degree. almost every Christmas we received a Christmas card and that was so special to me. Grandpa and grandma both attended my daughter's most special day of her life her Quinceanera. Grandpa, the time we shared was timeless and priceless and I will never forget it.
