James "Jim" Bryon Kirkland passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the age of 80 with his wife, Johnnie and family by his side. He was born October 22, 1934 in Esto, Florida. He retired as the plant manager of Dittmer Architectural Aluminum in 1996. Jim was blessed with a large and loving family. He married his best friend, Johnnie Pierce. He was a wonderful, caring, loving husband, father and friend. He loved fishing, camping and having his family around him more than anything. Survivors include his loving wife, Johnnie Kirkland of Osteen; one son, James Craig Kirkland, Sr and his wife Sandy; one daughter, Rene' Schmidt and her husband, Kevin. Four grandchildren - Jennifer, Stump, Kristen and Krystal and four great grandchildren - Dylen, Cody, Kole and Kylee. Visitation is Monday, November 17, 2014 at Osteen Baptist Church at 11:30 am. The funeral service will begin at 12 pm. Interment will follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sanford. In leiu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory can be sent to the Osteen Baptist Church.
