Mr. Johann Liu, 81, of Sanford, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025.
Born on May 27, 1944, in Medan, Sumatra, Indonesia, Johann was a man of warmth, dedication, and quiet strength. He built a life filled with love, hard work, and joy. On August 6, 1977, he married the love of his life, Raye Wood Liu, and together they shared decades of cherished memories.
Johann dedicated much of his professional life to restaurant management, notably with IHOP in Key West and Marathon, Florida, where he was known for his strong leadership and unwavering work ethic. Outside of work, he found great peace and happiness in two of his favorite pastimes—fishing and gardening. Whether casting a line or tending to his plants, Johann found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Raye Liu; his daughter, Stephanie Wolfe (Billy); his sister, Jeannette Clark of Manchester, England; and his brother, Yong Liu of Taipei, Taiwan.
Johann will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and fondly remembered for his devotion, gentle spirit, and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
