John Joseph Grasso

John was born on February 4, 1934 in Rochester, NY to Rosario and Sarah Grasso. On January 9, 1965, he married Vincenza Parrinelli. Together they raised their only daughter, Salvatrice. Sally to all her friends and family.

John worked as a Hardware Design Engineer for more than 36 years for Stromberg-Carlson and later retired from Siemens after the two companies merged. His life’s work, designing analog circuit boards, was used by millions of people every day to make a simple telephone call. Many of these systems are still in use today. He also enjoyed gardening, painting, and collecting trains and coins as a young man.

John was preceded in death by his father, Rosario, his mother, Sarah and his brother Robert. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years; daughter Sally and her husband Steven; his older brother Sam and older sister Lucy and several loving nieces and nephews and extended family.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, November 9, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at the Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford. Florida.

The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 am on Saturday November 10, 2018 at the Annunciation Catholic Church, located at 1020 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Springs, Florida. The interment will immediately follow the mass at Oaklawn Park Cemetery, located at 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford, Florida 32771.
