He attended schools in Sanford then joined the Army and served in the Vietnam War, reaching the rank of Spec. 5 (Buck Sergeant) and was honorably discharged. He owned his own business in Sanford.
Over the years, he enjoyed the family gatherings, riding his motorcycle when he got a chance and watching the NASCAR races. He was predeceased by three older brothers, Marvin, Earnest and George and his sister Geraldine (Gerri) Wright Flowers.
Allen is survived by four brothers, Ralph, John, Rudy and Donnie and four sisters, Reva, Louise, Ruth and Karen. He is also survived by many relatives and friends. We love him and honor him for his service to our country.
A small funeral service was held on April 16, 2020.
