Karen was a source of love and light to everyone around her. She lit up the room with her bright smile, infectious laugh and tangible love for life. Karen cared for people genuinely, touching not just her close family members and friends, but anyone she interacted with. She boldly faced life's challenges, never letting the world tell her what she could and couldn't do. She battled with grace, never letting go of her optimism or dreams for the future. She is a model to us all that life is a gift and there is no time better than the present to do what you love and to be with the ones who matter most.
There are no words to express how much she will be missed. She will live on in our hearts forever, nudging us all to laugh more, love more and live without regret.
Karen is survived by her husband Michael Stuart, son Nick Stuart, daughter Lindsay Suckno, mother Joy Moffett, brother Steve Moffett, grandson Castle Stuart and granddaughter Zoe Suckno. She also leaves behind many other family members and close friends who will miss her dearly.
The family will be celebrating her life with a memorial service on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 11:00am at Sanlando Methodist Church followed by a reception at The Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Karen's name to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611.
