Marion Edes Meyer

Marion’s early years included time in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and California. After graduating high school, she attended Grace Downs Air Career School in New York City, completing the Executive Secretarial program. In 1965, she married Kenneth Meyer, and together they made their home on Long Island, where they raised their two sons.

Marion built a professional career in business, working at Estée Lauder and later serving as Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer at Del Laboratories. She was known for her intelligence, organization, and reliability.

On Long Island, Marion was active in several organizations. She was a member of Toastmasters, served as local chapter president of Parents Without Partners in Suffolk County, New York, and belonged to a photography club.

After retiring in 2004, Marion relocated to Sanford, Florida, to be closer to her sister, niece, and great-nephews. There, she became an integral part of their immediate family circle and built a full and engaged life of her own. She enjoyed time with her Bunco and Euchre groups, stayed active with regular visits to the Sanford YMCA, and maintained a close connection to the Heathrow Women’s Club in Florida through her sister, frequently participating in the group’s fundraising efforts and activities. Marion loved travel and shopping and took pleasure in exploring new places. In Sanford, she also found great companionship in her dogs, Bella and Cappy, both rescues who were an important part of her life.

Marion will be remembered as a deeply caring and nurturing person who loved her family unconditionally. She was known for staying in touch, reaching out just to check in, and offering steady support to friends and loved ones over many years. A warm, generous, and social presence, she was a beloved neighbor and friend.

Marion is survived by her sons, Todd Meyer (Rachel) and Darren Meyer (Melanie); her siblings, Virginia Castellani, Stetson Everett Glines, and Linde Hendrickson; and her grandchildren, Darley, Michael, and Tristan.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford, Florida 32771. A reception will follow the service.
