Martha Vanessa Fette

Martha Vanessa (Kaiser) Fette, formerly Martha Vanessa Mann, age 93, passed away on December 22 at her home in Sanford, Florida, lovingly cared for by family. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Martha lived a life defined by kindness, warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She had a joyful spirit, a welcoming heart, and a gift for making friends wherever she went.

Martha married Rear Admiral Charles Clark Mann in 1955, and together they built a beautiful life and family. Their journey took them around the world, living in New York, Japan, and Maryland before moving to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with their three daughters, where their two sons were later born. The family then lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, returned to Rio, and eventually settled in Miami, Florida in 1980. A few years later, Martha, Charles, and their son Christian moved to Montevideo, Uruguay, where they lived until Charles’ passing in 1987. Martha and Christian then returned to Miami, later joining daughter Erica, her husband Dan, and their children in New Hampshire before ultimately moving to Central Florida with them, where she spent the rest of her life.

Martha later married retired Air Force Colonel Herbert Francis Fette in 1989. They lived for many years in their home in Altamonte Springs, where they built a warm and loving life. After his retirement from his company, AAA Concrete Co., they made the Beauchemin home in Sanford, Florida their home base and planned to spend much of their time traveling together. Sadly, those dreams of long trips together were cut short when Herbert passed away on December 26, 2002, only months after the move. Following his passing, Martha spent most of her remaining years living with Erica and Dan in their family home in Sanford. She always treasured time with her family, enjoyed special outings with her children, and valued time with friends. Although her mobility declined in her later years, she continued to find joy in being surrounded by those she loved and especially cherished time with her children, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who adored her.

Martha was loving, caring, fun, wise, friendly, and always full of life. Music was one of her great passions. She played both piano and guitar and treasured the musical gatherings she shared with her daughters, family, and friends. She had a special passion for the music of Carlos Gardel, which always brought her joy and connection to her roots. Even when she could no longer play, her love for music never faded, and she continued sharing that passion with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving children: Erica Mann Beauchemin (Daniel Beauchemin), Valerie Mann Grosso (Martin Grosso), Jessica Mann, Lynn Mann, and Christian Mann (Karina Gonzalez); her beloved grandchildren: Christopher Beauchemin (Lacy Nobles), Stephanie Beauchemin Villalobos (Jorge Villalobos), Candice Grosso (Anthony Cartaya), Martin Grosso (Christina Pierce), Derrick Grosso, Christian Mann Jr., and Jacqueline Mann; and her cherished great-grandchildren: Cecilia Villalobos, Sebastian Villalobos, Santiago Villalobos, Elle Beauchemin, Josephine Beauchemin, and Callan Beauchemin.

She is also survived by her siblings Miguel Gustavo Kaiser of Buenos Aires, Argentina; Joseph H. Grosso of Miami, Florida; and Martin M. Grosso of Sanford, Florida; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other beloved relatives.

Martha was a deeply important part of her family’s lives. They miss her now and will miss her forever, but are profoundly grateful for her love, her strength, her presence, and the blessing of having shared so much of life with her.

Together, we remember her with her joys, her stories, her kindness, her affection, her extraordinary intelligence, and her wisdom.

The family would like to thank Rachelle Franta-Casey for the care and compassion she showed our mom, grandma, and great grandma - our “Yeya.”

Family and friends are invited to attend her Service and Celebration of Life at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home & Oaklawn Cemetery, 5000 County Rd 46A, Sanford FL 32771, on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 2:00pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00pm.

Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery at 3:00 pm, followed by a reception at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home.

Martha Vanessa (Kaiser) Fette, anteriormente Martha Vanessa Mann, de 93 años, falleció el 22 de diciembre en su hogar en Sanford, Florida, rodeada del amor y cuidado de su familia. Nacida en Buenos Aires, Argentina, Martha vivió una vida marcada por la bondad, la calidez, la fortaleza y una inquebrantable devoción a su familia. Tenía un espíritu alegre, un corazón acogedor y un don especial para hacer amigos donde fuera que estuviera.

Martha contrajo matrimonio con el Contraalmirante Charles Clark Mann en 1955, y juntos construyeron una linda vida y familia. El sendero de la vida los llevó alrededor del mundo. Antes de mudarse a Rio de Janeiro con sus tres hijas, ellos vivieron en Nueva York, Tokio, Japón y Maryland. Sus dos hijos nacieron en Brasil. Posteriormente la familia vivió en Buenos Aires, regresó a Río y finalmente se estableció en Miami, Florida, en 1980. Años más tarde, Martha, Charles y su hijo Christian se mudaron a Montevideo, Uruguay, donde residieron hasta el fallecimiento de Charles en 1987. Martha y Christian regresaron a Miami y luego se mudaron a vivir en el estado de New Hampshire con su hija Erica, su esposo Dan y sus hijos. A Martha le fascinaba Carlos Gardel, sus tangos, su vida y la historia de su vida. El tango de Gardel la conectaba con sus raíces argentinas de su tierra que ella tanto extrañaba. Incluso cuando ya no podía tocar un instrumento, su amor por Carlos Gardel y la música nunca desaparecieron. Ella continuó a compartir esta pasión con sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos.

La sobreviven sus queridos hijos: Erica Mann Beauchemin (Daniel Beauchemin), Valerie Mann Grosso (Martin Grosso), Jessica Mann, Lynn Mann y Christian Mann (Karina González); sus amados nietos: Christopher Beauchemin (Lacy Nobles), Stephanie Beauchemin Villalobos (Jorge Villalobos), Candice Grosso (Anthony Cartaya), Martin Grosso (Christina Pierce), Derrick Grosso, Christian Mann Jr. y Jacqueline Mann; y sus adorados bisnietos: Cecilia Villalobos, Sebastián Villalobos, Santiago Villalobos, Elle Beauchemin, Josephine Beauchemin y Callan Beauchemin.
