Mary Jayne Dallaportas

Mary Jayne Dallaportas, “MJ” of Sanford, Florida passed away on Monday, November 24th at the age of 70. She was born on January 22, 1955, in West Palm Beach, Florida. MJ is preceded in death by her parents: James Clinton Dismuke and Jacqulaine Bonner Dismuke. She is survived by her daughter Amanda Brawner, sister Linda Young (Terry), brother Jimmy Dismuke (Kristin), nephews Logan (Yanira and their daughter Sienna), and Lawson Young, along with many dear friends.

MJ, a sharp, witty, and deeply likeable woman, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication. For many years, she shaped young minds as a 5th-grade teacher, always building strong relationships with her students and colleagues. Her gift for connection and her calm strength in handling any challenge made her a pillar in the classroom and a source of inspiration to all who knew her.

Beyond her professional life, MJ was a devoted mother to her beloved daughter who wished for more time together but will forever cherish the moments they shared. A private soul; she found her greatest joy in the love of her life—her soulmate of nearly 30 years. Their bond was true and profound, and when he went to heaven, it left a deep emptiness in her heart that never fully healed. Their love story was one of rare devotion, and now they are reunited in eternity.
