Parlo Jennifer Edwards

Parlo, daughter of the late Alan and Clara Josephs, was born in Ocho Rios in the parish of St. Ann, Jamaica, on March 24, 1955. She attended Primary and High Schools as well as college on the Island, and, upon graduation, immigrated to Canada where she furthered her collegiate studies.

Parlo was employed in the insurance industry in Canada, a skillset which she leveraged when she moved to the US to become a manager of one of the offices of New York’s Dart Brokerage. Parlo met Keith Edwards in New York and they moved to Florida in 1990.

In Florida, Parlo worked as a Cruise Consultant before opening up an upscale women’s clothing store called Electre Boutique. After selling that establishment, in 2003 Parlo joined with Keith to purchase Edarch Medical, Inc. Parlo functioned as the CFO of that establishment, a position she held until her death.

Parlo was a practicing Christian and a member in Good Standing with her Non-Denominational Church, The Gathering Place.

Parlo was preceded in death by her father, mother, Brothers Peter, Elvis & Prince, and Sister Patricia. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Keith; her children, Karen, Nichole, and Gifford; her siblings Valrie, Beverly, Denise, Merrick, Nicholas, and Michael; Grandchildren Alexandria, D’Andra, Ivé, Nia, Deidra, Nathan, and Mahlia; and great Grandchildren Jamaris and Jeremias.

Parlo will surely be missed. Rest in Peace Parlo.
