

He was born in Louisville, KY on July 7th ,1968. He lived briefly in Ohio and then moved to Orlando, Florida in 1978 with our family.
In high school, Phil was passionate about tennis and was ranked in the state by USTA.
He went to his father’s alma mater, Murray State University, on a tennis scholarship and was recruited quickly by Samford University and graduated in 1992.
Phil was a proud member of the USTA and continued playing tennis along with handball and golf throughout his life. He loved teaching tennis.
He cherished his relationship with his daughter Rebecca, “Princess”, nicknamed by Phil. He was very proud of her and loved her dearly.
Phil had a career in the insurance industry with Murray Insurance Agency for many years.
His love to help others was remarkable, he loved the Lord and would always offer prayer and fellowship for anyone who may need it. His positive attitude daily was something everyone noticed and loved. Phil had a sweet and gentle soul and always said,” I LOVE YOU”, to all of his Family. He will truly be missed!
He is survived by his daughter Rebecca, his parents Ed and Joan Murray, his sisters Stephanie Aldridge (Stephen), Michaelene Criswell (Mike), and his four nieces, Gillian, Ava, Hannah, and Grace.
Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday January 13th at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Rd, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714
A celebration of life will follow at Heathrow Country Club, 1200 Bridgewater Drive, Heathrow, FL 32746 at 11:30 a.m. RSVP- [email protected] if you have not already done so on Facebook.
