Mr. Pratt was born on February 11, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN. and graduated from Arsenal
Technical High School. He attended Ball State University. He was a Lieutenant in the United
States Army and served in the Korean War. He earned a Purple Heart.
He is survived by the love of his life for over 68 years, Millie Joan (Kennedy) Pratt. They
were married on September 3, 1950.
Mr. Pratt had a career in Industrial Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning working for
Colby Equipment Company in Indianapolis.
As a resident of Lawrence, IN, he was a volunteer fireman serving as Captain of the Rescue
Squad, he served on the Lawrence City Council and was President of the Lions Club. He
was a lifelong race fan and was fireman for the Indianapolis 500 for over 35 years. Tom
was a member of Westview Baptist Church in Sanford, FL., a member of the VFW and had
a passion for Gideons International.
He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd Parker Pratt, Anna (Munyon) Hardesty,
sister Mary Ann Rosecrans and granddaughter Elizabeth “Liz” Pratt.
He is survived by daughter Sharon Amlung (Dara) and sons Greg Pratt (Marcia) and
Jeffrey Pratt, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He dearly loved them all.
There will be a private family funeral on Monday, February 25.
