

William B. Green passed away on Feb. 15, 2016 at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs. Bill was born Jan. 30, 1933 in Richmond, Indiana. He graduated from Indiana Academy and served in the Army. He moved to Florida with his family in 1965 to begin working in the construction industry. He was a builder of custom homes in the Greater Orlando area until 1998 when he decided to retire. His retirement lasted all of one week as he went back to work at a slower pace concentrating on remodeling work. Over the years many people that started as his customers became his close friends as a result of the quality and respect he earned through his work and the person that he was. He is survived by his wife Carole, three children Deb (Kevin), Chris (Skip) and Scott (Jennifer); two stepchildren, Bethany (Todd) and Matt (Samantha); 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also predeceased by his beloved grandson Will. His cherished dog Fifi was always by his side. Bill was a loving father and stepfather, a man that performed numerous silent and generous works to help others as perpetuated through his strong faith. He was someone who enjoyed playing a good joke. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 19 from 4-6pm at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home Oaklawn Chapel in Sanford. Funeral services are on Saturday, Feb. 20 at Markham Woods Seventh Day Adventist Church in Longwood at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
