Bill was born in Woburn, MA. He was the son of Joseph and Helen Pierce of School St. in Woburn.
Born on November 25th, 1954, Bill was raised with his brothers Bobby, Walter, Jim, and Paul. Bill's Massachusetts roots remained strong over the years and he continued to cheer on his Red Sox,
Celtics, Patriots and Bruins, season after season.
Bill served 4 years in the Navy stationed on the USS Pensacola. His Navy years surely cultivated his love of being on the water, whether it was on his boat, at the beach, or just a local waterfront establishment enjoying a cold beer! Bill resided in Central Florida for many years. This is where he met his soulmate
and wife Linda, happily married for 30 years. Bill and Linda were each other's dedicated companions in life. Linda was never more so devoted to him than throughout his battle with cancer. They were the type of couple that made each other laugh everyday and love even more as life went by. He enjoyed golf, good
times with friends and family, boats, and dogs. Bill loved life itself. His biggest joy, however, was just being "Pop" to his 5 grandchildren Sydney, Meredith, Maggie, Grady, and James. Bill was blessed to be a
girl dad, survived by his step-daughters Kim Roe, Caroline(Brian Crockett), and Lindsey(Matthew Petell), and daughters Jennifer Colletti and Melissa Rivera.
He is survived by his brothers Walter, Jimmy, Paul Pierce, and his brother in law James Reich.
Bill is preceded in death by both his parents and his brother Robert. Bill was a loving and kind man, who would help anyone. He will be missed beyond measure.
Here's to the next 2 and a T when we meet again.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to your local animal shelters. Bill never met a dog he didn't like!
