Antoinette Rose Walter, age 95, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, surrounded by family. Affectionately known as "Bella" since childhood, she was born in Canton, Ohio on August 7, 1929, to the late Querino and Lena (Zarrelli) Peloso. Bella and the love of her life, William Vernon “Bill” Walter, moved to California in 1961, where she resided for the past 64 years. In her later years, she enjoyed following her “routine,” often accompanied by Max, her constant Chihuahua companion, nestled on her lap.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Bill. Bella is survived by her daughter Cindy Nichols; her son Matthew Nichols (Lia Chan); her daughter Michelle Bender (Thomas), and their daughter Demi; and Joanie Mobley Griego (Rhio) and her daughter Jacqueline Mobley.
A private family graveside service is being planned at Fairhaven Memorial Park & Mortuary in Santa Ana.
