Bernice was born in Los Angeles, CA to John and Clara Thornton. She had three siblings, Stell, Dorothy, and Jack. She became Aunt Niecie at a young age and was a faithful presence in the lives of her nieces and nephews.
After graduating from high school, Bernice married Norton Graham on February 20, 1955; they were married for 65 years. Bernice was a wonderful mother to their three sons, Nort Jr., Glenn, and Mark, and to their daughters by marriage, Grace, Marie, and Paula.
Bernice worked at St. Olaf’s Preschool for 28 years. In her spare time, she liked to read mystery novels and do arts and crafts.
Bernice loved being a grandma to Trieste, Gillian, Travis, Natalie, Heather, and Jeremy and was thrilled to be a great grandma to Graceson, Ella, Mila, Waylen, and Luna.
The two most important things in Bernice’s life were her faith in Jesus Christ and her family. We know she is in heaven with our Lord now and we look forward to seeing her again there.
