Camille Mariane Simon, born on February 12, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY, was her parent’s only child, but part of a large family of immigrants. Her father Charles Fackre (Lebanese descent) and her mother Angela Biasi (Italian descent) built a life rooted in love, resilience, and valued family above all. Camille carried those values with her for the rest of her days.
Growing up in Brooklyn, Camille surrounded herself with friends who quickly became family. She had a gift for connection—people were drawn to her warmth, her humor, and her generous heart. After high school, she worked on Wall Street, bringing her warmth and grace to coworkers.
Camille later married Frederick Simon, a New York City Police Officer, and together they welcomed their only son, Frederick Jr. Camille’s life revolved around her family. She poured her heart into creating a home filled with unwavering love. She was the friend and neighbor everyone relied on—hosting gatherings, volunteering at church and school, and offering kindness without hesitation. Her presence made every room brighter.
In midlife, Camille followed a calling rooted in compassion and empathy, becoming a Hypnotherapist. She touched many lives through her work, offering comfort, healing, and understanding. Many of those she helped remained lifelong friends, a testament to the depth of her care.
Her greatest joy came later in life when she became Grandma to Lincoln, Leonardo, and Grant. To her son Freddy, his wife Elfie, and her grandsons, she was a constant source of love, pride, and encouragement. They were the center of her world, and she made sure they felt it every single day.
Camille lived with a heart wide open. She embodied forgiveness, empathy, faith, and the quiet strength that comes from a life rooted in love. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and connection that will continue to ripple through the lives of all who knew her.
She will be profoundly missed by her family, her friends, and every soul fortunate enough to have crossed her path. Our hearts are broken, but we are forever grateful for the gift of her life.
Rest peacefully, Camille… We will carry your love with us until the day we meet again.
