Carol Harmon had many nicknames, such as Hamburger, Huggie, Tumbleweed, and “Unc”. His parents, Isaac and Buelah Harmon named him after “Christmas Carol” since he was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1939 in McCormick County, South Carolina. Carol was a fun and very giving person to those in need. He loved to laugh and talk trash, yet he also like visits and talks from missionaries. He was a devout Dodger’s and Angel’s fan, never missed an episode of Two and a Half Men or Joel Olsteen on Sundays. Feeding birds and various forms of urban wildlife were a part of his outdoor activities. One of his favorite things to do was eat good food. He especially enjoyed Thrifty’s vanilla ice cream, Jimmie Dean sausage croissants, McDonald’s double cheeseburgers, Little Caesar’s pizza and Subway sandwiches. One of his most cherished possessions was a 1968 Volkswagen Bug named “Pretty Baby”. To cherish his smiles and all the memories of his life are his wife, Lola Mae Harmon, brother, Joseph Harmon, children Carolyn Harmon-Whitaker, Marsha Harmon-Harris, Cheryl Harmon-Kowry (Richmond, Virginia) and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Good looked around his garden and found an empty space. Then he looked down upon his Earth and saw your tired face. He then put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. Carol Harmon entered Eternal Life on March 9, 2017. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. His funeral service will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705, on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10:00 am.
