Charles Edward Bennett

Charles Edward Bennett was born March 28, 1960 to Robert Edward Bennett and Bertha Louise Bennett, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. His family moved from North Carolina to Santa Ana, California in 1969. Charles spent the majority of his childhood and adult life in Santa Ana, California, where he attended Monte Vista Elementary School, Smedley (Carr) Middle School, Valley High School & Saddleback High School in Santa Ana.

Charles aka “Tuna” was a son, brother and uncle. He loved sports and his favorite teams were the Los Angeles RAMS and Los Angeles LAKERS. He loved playing games (including spades) on his phone. He was humorous and loved to play jokes on people. On weekends he listened to the Oldies. Family & Friends knew that Charles was kind and generous and he will truly be missed.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Bennett; his sister, Joanne Blue; his brother, Robert Edward Bennett, Jr.;

He is survived by his mother, Bertha Louise Bennett; sister, Barbara Lowe & brother-in-law, Wayman Lowe; brother, Frederick Bennett & sister-in-law, Colleen Bennett; sister, Hazel Bennett; nephew, Jakhori Fritz; nephew, Nicholas Bennett; nephew, Fredrick Bennett; niece, Erica Lowe; nephew, Ryan Dixon and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service for Charles will be held Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Fairhaven Memorial Park Mortuary, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705.
