

Dr. Daniel M. Stalmach, Lieutenant, Pilot, and Engineer , passed away on April 25, 2013. His family fondly called him "Doctor Doctor" having achieved a PHD in Geophysics from Rice University in Houston, Texas. At midlife he then realized he loved helping people so he went to medical school in Guadalajara, Mexico, came to America and passed the boards. He then started a full time practice in the Inland Empire.
He was always accessible to his patients and prefer to work with those who were on Medicaid and Medicare because he felt the undeserved population deserved the best possible care.
Along the way he became a step-father to Lisa Lopez, mother of his three grandchildren, Liliana Burgi, Francisco Lopez, Jr. and Sierra Lopez. His stepdaughters first husband, Francisco Lopez, Sr. stayed close to Dr. Stalmach until the day of his death.
To Dr. Stalmach everything was a treasure and kept vast collections of all his papers, books and personal effects from his years in college.
He had a unique personally absolutely charming and stubborn at the same time. When he made his mind up he could not be swayed so in the end, he very charmingly got his way. His family thinks about him frequently and wishes him well on his next journey.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 9:00am, funeral services will start at 11:00am at Funeraria del Angel MacDougall Mortuary. The Graveside service will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Huntington Beach, CA.
