Darvin was born on September 23rd, 1941 in Buffalo, New York, to Nick and Angie Massa. When he was a young boy, the family moved to California, the state that Darvin would reside in for the rest of his life. Darvin graduated from Leuzinger High School in 1959. Shortly afterwards, he met his wife of 56 years, Carol (Farnaus). They wed on February 10th, 1962. Together, they raised three children: Therese, Tony, and Steve.
Darvin worked for National Life and Accident as a life insurance salesman for 7 years. Then, he moved into the automobile industry and never looked back! He excelled as a salesman, service manager, and general manager for various companies. He enjoyed buying and selling cars for family and friends. He could always be trusted to close the deal!
When not working, he enjoyed watching all sports, coaching his sons and daughter in little league baseball, playing golf, and was always the reigning champ of the ping pong table during family gatherings. He was the life of the party and loved a good joke. He also found great pleasure in gardening and in sharing all the beautiful fruits and vegetables he grew.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, three children and their spouses, Therese, Tony and Tina, Steve and Courtney, 5 grandchildren, Gavin, Nicholas, Cecilia, Samantha, and Maxx, older brother Joel Massa, and many beloved nephews and nieces.
Darvin knew Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He will never have to endure another medical procedure or treatment again for he is in now in the presence of the Lord in heaven.
