David was my friend. We had a lot of fun times going to old punk shows and he always had the most infectious smile. We always met and had a couple of beers where it happened. I was supposed to meet him that night but was sick and stayed home. I know I shouldn't but I do carry some guilt for not being able to show up. I will never forget him. Every time I go to the doll hut I go to the spot and sit by myself and have a beer and a smoke and talk to him. I hope he can hear me. Miss you so much brother. Will see you on the other side...

Trying to process the loss of you my brother is going to take a very long time.  Our 37 years, however grateful I am to have spent with you was not nearly enough. I will keep hold of all those cherished memories I have with you along with David Parrish and Mike Fisher.  My father and Gaylon also loved you like a son. The 4 of us have been through many obstacles and even lost touch sometimes here and there but never for too long. We always found each other and I believe the 4 of us being at your memorial yesterday was proof of our long-standing friendship and a testament to just how much we love each other. I will never forget you and I will always feel a little sad knowing I will not see you in the flesh again on this earth. I love you brother and will always be thankful for having known you and the friendship we had for so many years. RIP Dave. Love Mikey

May you rest in peace David. Last time I saw you was Mass at the Mission Basilica a couple of years back. I spotted you a few rows ahead of us... My Wife Marilynn and I spent a year together in RCIA at the Catholic Mission Basilica with David and I will always remember his wonderful spirit.  Such a great person! Receiving our sacraments 4-19-14 is something I'll always remember and cherish, and thank you, David, for the time we shared. 

Dave the man the myth and legend. Mr. Henessey! You are an amazing person and will be missed by many. It was a pleasure spending 6 years working with you. Always the man that put his family first and always went out of his way to help others.

It's been a long time since I've seen Dave, but I have very good memories - living at the house in Babcock Ave,  in 1994, and having him as THE most committed fan to our band, Iannello.  Our prayers are with the McCabe family at this time.

Dave and I were going to start a new band called ONE IN THE CHAMBER,he was going to sing and I was going to play guitar,we were supposed to have our first practice the Sunday after that happened...so senseless that such a good man's life was taken so brutally..Dave we all miss you so much,it still hurts us that you're gone...we just re-lit all the candles by the Doll Hut by where it happened,we couldnt help but be emotional still over the whole thing...Dave was an important piece of the puzzle


I have known David since he was 11 years old, he was a funny and sweet boy.  My heart goes out to the McCabe family. May God Bless you through the days ahead.  Love, Joy and Dick❤❤❤❤

Dave was a sweet, sincere caring man with a heart of gold. He loved music, his family and his friends. He would do anything for those close to him. He may be gone but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his friends  forever. 
I miss you Dave. My mind knows you are in a better place where there is no pain, and you are at peace. However there’s a hole in my heart where you once were. I hope you found your punk rock paradise in heaven and someday we might meet again in a better place. Xoxo

I will never forget your enthusiasm, your huge heart. I will never forget when I drove down to see Knightenders rehearse. You made me feel at home.  Waking up to numerous notifications from you sharing some awesome songs that we both love and enjoy.  I will miss u! Theres not many people left who wear their hearts on their sleeve.  Nearly every memory I have of David involves music. Music was his passion from very early on in life. I remember just being little kids and him telling me about what he thought was the greatest band ever,  Kiss! He played their album for me as he jumped  around on his bed singing along and playing air guitar and air drumming.  His excitement was always  contagious!
