Eldena "Paddy" Montgomery Hoffman

Montgomery Hoffman, Eldena “Paddy” Eldena Faye (Huff) Montgomery Hoffman died Friday the 21st of April 2017 in Rancho Mirage, CA. She was known as “Paddy” to most of her friends throughout her adult life. She was born on Aug 17, 1927 in Fort Wayne, IN where she spent her childhood. After graduation from Northside High School in 1945, she attended college and received a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. In 1956, she married Robert C. Montgomery. In the early 1960s, they settled in Tustin, CA where she lived for nearly 30 years. After the death of her first husband, she married Henry H. Hoffman and moved to Palm Desert, CA in 1990. Paddy always said that her most important job was that of a mother, but she was also a successful business woman. One of her business ventures, Tee to Green Accessories, combined her love for both golf and sewing. She designed and manufactured women’s golf accessories that were sold in hundreds of pro shops around the western United States. She is survived by her son, Robert Montgomery, his wife Julie and their three children as well as her brother Stanley Huff. A viewing will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Park Mortuary, 1702 Fairhaven Dr, Santa Ana, CA on Tuesday, May 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 3rd at 2:30 pm in Waverley Chapel at Fairhaven Memorial Park. Burial to follow immediately.
