

Emmy Lou Schroeder, age 97, of Costa Mesa, California, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on July 9, 2020. She passed away peacefully in Beach Homes Residential Cove with family at her side and on Zoom Room.
Emmy Lou was born in Orange County on November 28, 1922 and was a resident of both Southern and Central California. She graduated from Santa Ana High School and received her diploma.
She married Kenneth Otto Schroeder on May 18, 1941. Emmy Lou had a career as a homemaker and had three children with Kenneth: Roy, Nancy, and Wayne. She was a member of Calvary Chapel and Children's Home Society. Her passion was for serving her Lord Jesus Christ in the church and her community.
Emmy Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Kathleen Brooks, her brothers Bill and Wayne Brooks, and her husband Kenneth Schroeder. She is survived by her three children: Roy Kenneth Schroeder of Kamiah, Idaho, along with Nancy Jean Grimm and Wayne Brooks Schroeder, both of San Clemente, California. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Geoffrey Schroeder, Christopher Schroeder, Robin Schroeder, Katey Schroeder, Karey Shultz, Alison Grimm, and Jonas Grimm. She also has nine great-grandchildren: Emily Schroeder, William Schroeder, Shauntay Schroeder, Jazmeena Schroeder, Vaughn Schroeder, Fritz Stoesz, Annabeth Stoesz, Johnny Schultz, and River Schultz. She even has one great-great grandchild, Natalina, along with several nieces and nephews. Emmy Lou was loved and adored by all who knew her.
