She is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Peters (Yorba Linda, CA), her sister Margarita (Margo) Rademacher (Hillsboro, OR), her nieces Ruth Hartmann (Phoenix, AZ) and Liza Ungar (Hillsboro, OR), and her nephew John David Rademacher (Cottonwood, AZ).
Ethel was born on August 10, 1943 in the City of Puebla, in the State of Puebla, Mexico, the daughter of Eustorgio Cabrera and Etelvina Fernandez. She attended primary school and later finished a vocational secretarial course, and was a very fast typist.
Her employment started at age 15 when she started working at a hardware store. Later in partnership with her cousin Maria Elena Livingstone (Castillo), she had a clothing business. They bought clothes at garment manufacturers in Mexico City, and sold them in Ethel's home to their girlfriends. For this business, she made some of the clothes herself, and could sew and make dresses and blouses in one hour. This was followed by working as a supervisor at Super Fernando (a supermarket), and jobs at retail stores in Puebla such as Comercial Mexicana, Scala and Rodoreda, and as a secretary at the Volkswagen plant. She made an informal arrangement to work undercover for the police department, and helped many people go to jail.
Ethel married Robert (Bob) Peters in April of 1983 with two weddings, one in Puebla, and one in Minnesota. She helped do the bookkeeping at Christian bookstores that Bob managed, first Libreria Betania (Bethany Bookstore), and then later at Libreria Fuente de Vida (Fountain of Life Bookstore), and also kept an eye on those who entered the store with the intention to steal.
She didn't work in the United States, since she had to deal with a lot of pain and a variety of physical problems. Besides doing her household duties, Ethel spent hours reading the Bible which she deeply loved, and in prayer. She fervently loved the Lord first of all and Bob second. Ethel served the Lord well, and was a prayer warrior. Many prophetic words were given to people by her which greatly encouraged them in their walk with the Lord. She will be greatly missed, and will be in our hearts forever.
