Frances was born in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Annette Farina. She lost her father as a youngster and lived in an orphanage until her mother was able to support her. Her mother married Peter Maiorca when Frances was ten. In 1935, the family moved to Los Angeles for a new life in California. Her sisters, Rosalie and Virginia, were added to the family. Frances wasn't able to finish high school because she was needed to care for her sisters and get a job to support the family.
While working at a grocery store, Frances met her future husband, George Robertson. When WWII started in 1941, George joined the Marine Corps. While on leave before shipping out, the couple married on Christmas Eve, 1942. George served in the South Pacific and returned home safely.
First son Richard was born in 1945 followed by Steven in 1947. With help from the G.I. Bill, the couple purchased a home in the El Sereno area of Los Angeles.
In 1961, the family moved to Orange and shortly thereafter, Frances got a job for the City of Orange. She retired from the City in 1990 after 27 years of service. In 2007 George, her beloved husband of 65 years passed away.
Frances spent her remaining years enjoying her family, especially all of the new additions. She was also a devoted member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, whom she considered her spiritual family.
Frances is survived by her sister Virginia, sons Richard (Karen) and Steven (Kate). Grandchildren, Richard (Hilda), Tyler (Jennifer), Lee (Paul); great grandchildren Jamie (Julian), Nicole (Angel), Brody, Brooklyn, Cooper and Avery; great-great grandchildren Mason, Scarlett and Julez.
