

Reverend James Charles Bogosian, 71, of Tustin, California, went home to Jesus on December 26, 2020. He was born on July 4, 1949 in Los Angeles to parents John and Victoria Bogosian. James graduated from Vanguard University with a Master’s degree in Religion: Leadership Studies. He was married to Lisa Bogosian on September 8, 1979 and they recently celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary.
James spent his entire adult life serving the Lord as a pastor in a number of churches and organizations. He had a genuine care for people and a passion for helping people grow in a real relationship with God. He pastored churches in the San Fernando Valley and Santa Monica. He began a chaplaincy program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He served as a grief counselor at Fairhaven Memorial Park and Mortuary. Most recently, he was a chaplain for the Salvation Army, Orange County Social Services.
He is reunited in Heaven with his parents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister Elizabeth, brother John, and daughter Elisabeth.
James is survived by his three children: Joanna, Gregory, and Paul; and his five grandchildren: Joshua, Sofie, Wesley, Ani, and Layla.
A Graveside/Committal Service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Fairhaven Memorial Park and Mortuary (1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana). A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021, in the courtyard at Salvation Army Tustin Ranch (10200 Pioneer Road, Tustin). More details to follow.
