I will forever remember Jesse’s smiling and laughing . And going to visit him , making jokes , laughing and singing to him . He would dance with his head when Edwin and I would be there making the best out of the moments we were together . It’s crazy how you can bond with someone and see them more than friends but family . We only knew each other a small amount of time but in that time we became close and like family I saw him like a grandpa . Passing by these couple of days have been hard because i don’t get to say good morning anymore or goodbye . But i know that he will continue being happy in heaven . There are people who come into your life quietly, without warning, and somehow change you forever. Jesse was one of those people for me. From the moment I met him, I just knew — I knew I was going to love him. There was something about his presence that felt familiar, safe, and deeply special, like a connection that didn’t need explanation.
I think about Jesse every single day. And every time I see the color blue, I think of him. Blue reminds me of his calm, his gentleness, and the peace he carried with him. In this short life we’re given, it’s rare to meet someone who touches your heart the way Jesse did. He didn’t just make an impact — he left a feeling. A lasting one. Anytime I doubted myself or needed a quiet pick-me-up, all it took was seeing his face. The way his eyes lit up, the kindness you could feel just by looking at him — it changed my whole day. His eyes held a world that only he truly knew, and I feel incredibly lucky that he shared even a small part of it with me. His smile was so reassuring, so genuine, it made everything feel okay. I used to think that if reincarnation is real, and I ever had the chance to come back as Jesse’s daughter, I would be so lucky. That thought still brings me comfort. It feels like love like his doesn’t disappear — it just continues somewhere else. I miss the simple moments the most. Passing by and knowing he’d be there. Seeing him roll by in his wheelchair, dressed in his dodgers outfit, smiling — always smiling. I miss the little “pop-pop” sound he’d make to get my attention, the one that always made me laugh. Those small things meant everything to me. Jesse is someone I will never forget and could never replace. I truly believe there was a soul tie there — a connection that went beyond words, roles, or time. I’m so grateful I got to know him, heartbroken that he’s gone, but comforted in believing he’s up there now, watching over us, smiling the way he always did.
