Julie Lucinda Payne

Julie grew up in the San Francisco area until she was fifteen years of age, when her family moved to Phoenix, Arizona. After graduating from high school, Julie ventured out on her own and eventually settled in Orange County, California.

She and her husband, Wes, met in 1980 and married June 26, 1982. Julie also assumed a maternalistic role for David, Wes’ son, who was nine years old at the time of their marriage. Their son, Michael, was born in 1983.

Julie was employed by Anaheim Union High School District for 27 years, mostly in the accounting department. She also served as a chapter vice-president for the California School Employees Association.

Julie is survived by her husband, Wes; sons, Michael and David; sisters, Leslie Rainville, Roxann Woodman and Kristi Creech; brothers, Don Samson, Brian Pagett, Larry Pagett and Eddie Phillips. She is also survived by four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as many nephews and nieces.

Julie was a kind and gentle soul, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be held January 5, 2020 at Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92705.
