Bill and I are sending love, hugs and prayers to warm your heart during this sad time. I remember fondly when Kat was born and Michelle and I would talk about our kids on the phone - seems like yesterday. We are thinking about you and your loved ones ❤️

My dear niece Kat,

It had been awhile since I had visited you. I regret that I didn't take time after you moved back to California to visit, but know I thought of you often.

Kat was such a beautiful soul. When I went to see Kathy Kat would get excited and smile. I’m sorry I am so far away in Colorado that I can’t make her service. She’s part of God’s team now looking out for you Michelle and Kathy. Much love.

Dear Kat,
You were my inspiration, my example in life of being strong and brave. You fought a fight that many others would never be able to. You taught me the true meaning of strength. I always got a kick out of when we’d come out for vacation, then when we came to see you, you’d close your eyes when you heard me call your name - you always loved playing that game. I love you very much and I will miss you to infinity. Rest In Peace sweet angel. love, your cousin Scotty

To my sweet Katty Kat, thank you being such a blessing in all of our lives. You truly do not know how much of an impact you had on my life, you gave me strength when times were hard and you showed me to always cherish the little things in life. I always loved our times together and holding you sweet little hand my dear cousin, being that you are 3 months 18 days older than me always made me feel special that we share the same birth year and knowing that you were my older cousin always made me smile.
I love you, see you soon our sweet angel.

I have known Kat since she was an infant; she was an extraordinarily beautiful child and reminded me of a porcelain doll with her smooth skin and dark hair.

We lived in Arizona at the same time as the Allen’s so I got to see Kat often. Michelle was one of the most excellent mothers I have ever met; she took tedious care of her daughter, and referred to her as her “angel“ as she knew that she was a direct gift from God.

On the rare occasions that Michele and I were able to sneak off to dinner, it seems like all we ever did was talk about Kat, her playfulness and her sense of humor. While others saw a little girl who couldn’t do much, Michelle saw her differently. She knew that Kat could not only understand her, but follow her directions as well. And Michelle was picky with her choice of nurses, she expected them to engage with Kat and read to them, otherwise she kindly sent them packing. :) Honestly, her love and attentiveness knew no boundaries, and I was blessed to have a side view of that sweet relationship.

I know that the “angel“ is now in heaven, free from bodily restrictions and medical devices. For the first time, she is able to run, skip and play with others, and her body is glorious. I can’t wait to see her one day and hear about all the thoughts that she held inside while she was on earth.

May the Holy Spirit bring divine comfort and peace to the family and friends of Kat. I know we are all better people having known her.

Christmas with Kat
