November 13, 1936 – June 30, 2025
With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, the family of Larry Clawson Wicker announces his peaceful passing on June 30, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on November 13, 1936, in Long Beach, California to Orbin and Alice Wicker, Larry was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
A proud Californian and devoted family man, Larry spent his career as a maintenance mechanic—known for his steady hands, strong work ethic, and problem-solving mind. Off the clock, Larry was a man of heart and humor. He was a lifelong fan of Angels baseball, proudly holding season tickets for many years. He found joy in life’s thrills—riding motorbikes, cruising in dune buggies, and watching drag racing whenever he had the chance.
Larry married the love of his life, Patricia Loflin, on September 2, 1963. Together they raised three children: Lori Alice, Larry Philip, and Jennifer Ann. Larry also embraced his daughter from a previous marriage, Wendy Sue. He was a devoted grandfather to his cherished grandson, Tanis Sebastian, who brought him endless pride and joy.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Orbin and Alice; his beloved wife, Patricia; and his brothers, Darrell and Jim. He is survived by his children: Lori, Philip, Jennifer (Ben Warner), and Wendy; his grandson, Tanis; his brother, Duane; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry forward his memory and the values he embodied—loyalty, hard work, and a sense of humor that could light up a room.
A graveside service to honor Larry’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Fairhaven Memorial Park and Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Heart Association in Larry’s memory.
Larry’s legacy is one of laughter, love, and loyalty—a man who lived fully, gave freely, and loved deeply. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the joy of knowing him.
