I just saw this after trying to find Mary Jane to tell her thank -you for  everything she did for me at Raney Jr. High and then Corona Senior High.  I was a  troubled teenager and she became my angel and helped me in so many ways there isn’t enough space to write here. I wrote about her imprint on my life in my book and also made sure to acknowledge her in my book “Scar Tissue” I just published it 10/10/23 and wanted to find her to let her know.  What a huge blessing she was to me especially coming from a single parent home. Her love , compassion and support will always be in my heart and I always have shared our special relationship we had. My condolences to the family  I know she was a special treasure to all of you.  I moved from Corona to central, Ca. So I didn’t know of her passing and wished I could have made her service to honor her along with you.   Big hugs and love to all! Debbie Quesada (Spletter back then)

I have given a lot of thought to the memories I hold dear about MaryJane . Oh, there are so many that I hold dear. The most special is the time spent together after Wally & Al went to bed and we sat up sipping wine or triple cream sherry until the wee hours. We talked of many things, shared some of our deepest thoughts , as only sister in laws can do.  The ongoing hunts in antique stores, garage sales and thrift stores for the special glasses Mary Jane collected, became a fun activity. The hunt was 1/2 the fun, but seeing her eyes light up when I found a special one for her collection was great! She even made me a collector of them… but not in the numbers she had🥰 I miss her so very much. I still hear her laugh and how she would say “ Wallace” ! I miss Wally too. I will always feel a special bond to him, as he walked me down the isle at my wedding. 

I loved Mary Jane and her husband Wally, and always looked forward to seeing them.  They were always so warm and welcoming.  Mary Jane was intelligent, interesting and thoughtful.  Her smile would light up a room.  Our world is now missing a star, but heaven has gained an angel.  God bless you Mary Jane, and rest your soul.

Holidays were always celebrated and Mary loved life to the fullest.

   Mom, you showed us unconditional love as you worked during the day and went to college at night, and you still had time for all of your children.  Education was important and we valued it through trips to Cal State Fullerton and buying children’s books at the college bookstore.  You were so proud when you graduated at each level of credential and degree.
   As we got older, you juggled family vacations and camping trips and we got to go on many adventures.  You took us on many field trips with your school students and the memories are vast.
   I will always remember your kindness and love, and your legacy will be family togetherness.  Holidays will be especially empty as we leave an empty place for you at the table.  ¡Para Siempre!


Mom you are missed.  You helped shape our moral compass and showed us how to give selflessly.  I find comfort knowing you are now free of pain and with dad.


My whole life my Grandma has been loving and supportive. She helped raise me and teach me to be the person I am today. She always said “Family is important”. I have so many beautiful memories with her that are very special to me. So it is very hard to pick just one. I chose this picture because she loved playing the piano and she also inspired my daughter Gabriella to learn how to play. She loved spending time with Gabby and it made her truly happy. I will always be so grateful that she showed me unconditional love and support, which has inspired me to do that with both of my daughters. I will miss you so much! Te amo mi abuelita! 

What a treasure both Mary Jane and Wally were to everyone that met them!  I have so many wonderful, warm and funny memories of them together and separately.  This is the lovely couple in December 2015 at my house for Christmas brunch.  You could always depend on lively conversation and laughs with them.  Mary Jane was such a great story teller and she was my "go to" person for family history.  Such a bright light any time I was able to spend time with her.   I will miss her terribly in the years to come.  Such an honor to know and a pleasure to be with.  God bless my cousins Jan, Jill, Jane and Wally.  Thank you for taking such good care of her and also your Dad!

My Mom loved to order a Negro Modelo beer with her Mexican food. I feel blessed to be a part of the Mexican-American culture and I have rich memories of my childhood. I just wish my Mom had taught me Spanish!!!
